About The Founder
Jacinta Watts Johnson’s homeschooling journey is a powerful story of safety, inclusivity, cultural pride, and empowerment.
Her decision to homeschool came from a deep desire to provide a safe and nurturing environment for her children. With concerns about the challenges and safety risks in traditional schools, Jacinta chose to create a learning space where her children could thrive without fear.
Understanding that every child learns differently, Jacinta tailored her teaching to fit the needs of her kids, including two with special needs. By embracing their unique learning styles, she crafted a personalized approach that made learning more effective and meaningful.
A cornerstone of her homeschooling philosophy is teaching African and Black history. Jacinta weaves lessons about cultural heritage, pride, and the rich contributions of the African diaspora into everyday learning. This focus not only builds knowledge but also fosters a strong sense of identity and belonging in her children.
Jacinta’s approach is about more than academics; it’s about empowerment. She equips her children with the tools to think critically, build confidence, and embrace their individuality. Through tailored resources and hands-on experiences, her children learn to see their own potential and value.
Her story is a testament to how homeschooling can transform lives. By prioritizing safety, recognizing learning differences, celebrating culture, and inspiring empowerment, Jacinta shows what’s possible with a customized, holistic education. Her journey encourages other parents to explore the opportunities that homeschooling can offer for their families.
