A Lifesaver During the Pandemic: Helping My Daughter Thrive
My name is Melissa McKinnie-Moses and my daughter Talia Freeman attended Truth and Purpose Homeschool Academy in 2020. It takes courage to withdraw your child from public school to homeschooling. In 2020 I found myself needing to remove my daughter from public school due to the pandemic. I reached out to Truth and Purpose Homeschool Academy with all my concerns regarding homeschooling and what my daughter would need to succeed. Jacinta Johnson founder and CEO of Truth and Purpose sat down with me and created an individualized schedule and curriculum that supported all our needs.
Honestly going into the program my daughter was behind on a few classes, so I knew we had some catching up to do. What I loved most about the curriculum was it wasn’t just words on a screen, videos were attached with each module to reinforce what was learned. Also, although we were in the middle of a pandemic Truth and Purpose managed to make sure we still engaged socially which is very important for children being homeschooled. My daughter enjoyed the program and was able to return to public school above level. Here we are in 2024 still using the tools we’ve gained from Truth and Purpose.
Although my daughter decided to return to public school, I’m grateful we had the opportunity to experience both sides. Truth and Purpose also assisted me with getting her enrolled back into public school, true definition of support. I would absolutely encourage any parent seeking guidance, support, or just information to reach out to Truth and Purpose Homeschool.
